Newcomers Lunch 9/21
Posted September 9th, 2008 by bradwadeIf you’re new to ACC (or have been around awhile but never attended a Newcomers Lunch) we’d love to welcome you and get to know you at our semi-annual Newcomers Lunch, on Sunday, September 21, after the second service. Meet Jeannette and Luann in the lobby and we’ll walk over to the Kaufmanns together for lunch and fellowship.

Posted June 2nd, 2008 by Pastor_DavidDon’t miss the Labor Day Retreat at Pinebrook Retreat Center in Pennsylvania, on August 30-September 1. ACC will be combining with the Brazilian PCA churches from the metro area for a fun-filled, Christ-focused weekend.
The retreat will include swimming, hiking, sports, food, fellowship, worship & Bible teaching. Classes and activities are planned for all age groups. Separate Bible teaching sessions will be conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Our need for the Holy Spirit

I don’t mean that we forget the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Most of us are grounded enough in a Trinitarian belief system never to do that. We are all aware, at least on a cognitive level, that the Third Person of the Godhead exists.
But, nevertheless, we forget him....
Goals for our church

That is the question our elders and pastors asked during a planning retreat we attended in August. With much prayer we reviewed the history of ACC, studied information about Western Queens and discussed the mission and core values of our church. Then we set out to form 1-year, 3-year and 5-year goals. During the months of September and October, we shared our thoughts with other church leaders, asking them to help us discern the will of God for our church.
Here is what we sense God calling us to do. In the next five years we want to work toward three basic goals ...
